Medical sources reported that the woman and her child were killed as a result of the targeting of the displaced persons' tents, while eyewitnesses indicated that there was significant damage to the tents and the property of the displaced persons.
Prior to that, two Palestinians were killed and 27 others were injured, as a result of a bombing carried out by an Israeli drone that targeted a tent for vacationers on the beach of Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis.
Medical sources added that the wounded, whose injuries ranged from minor to moderate, were transferred to Nasser Complex and the Kuwaiti and Al-Mawasi field hospitals in Khan Yunis.
Earlier, a Palestinian was killed and a child was wounded by Israeli army gunfire near the Bani Suheila roundabout, east of Khan Yunis, according to a medical source.
The Israeli occupation army also demolished facilities and buildings northeast of the city, coinciding with heavy gunfire from its vehicles and artillery shelling, amid the sound of large explosions.
In Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, three Palestinians, including a child, were killed and others were injured in a bombing carried out by an Israeli drone that targeted a gathering of civilians on al-Baraka Street.
In the northern Gaza Strip, a young man and a woman sustained moderate injuries as a result of Israeli artillery shelling that targeted the Al-Salatin area in the town of Beit Lahia.
Infiltration and expansion of control
In a development on the ground, local sources and eyewitnesses reported that a number of Israeli army vehicles had entered Salah al-Din Street near the electricity company in the Nuseirat camp, amid gunfire and artillery shelling.
Witnesses added that Israeli forces moved the concrete blocks that mark what is known as the "yellow line" westward for a distance of approximately 150 meters, from the vicinity of the electricity company towards the Wadi Gaza bridge, and placed new concrete blocks along Salah al-Din Street, in a move that indicates an expansion of their control, in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The Israeli occupation army is stationed along the “yellow line,” a security strip inside the Gaza Strip that prevents Palestinians from accessing areas near it, while it controls more than 70% of the Strip’s area.
Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect in the Gaza Strip since October 10, 2025.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, Israeli violations since the start of the ceasefire have resulted in the deaths of 1,045 Palestinians and injuries to 3,380 others, most of whom are children and women.
Since October 8, 2023, the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has resulted in the martyrdom of more than 73,000 Palestinians and the injury of more than 173,000, in addition to widespread destruction affecting about 90% of the civilian infrastructure.
