Injuries reported due to Israeli violations in Gaza; Zamir approves plans to resume operations

A medical source reported that Palestinian Mazen Al-Boubli (52 years old), a resident of Al-Maghazi camp, arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central Gaza Strip, after being injured in an Israeli bombing of the eastern area of the camp.

According to the same source, the injured person was transported to the hospital by teams from the International Committee of the Red Cross to receive treatment.

In Gaza City, in the northern Gaza Strip, a Palestinian child was shot by the Israeli occupation army in the Al-Mahatta area of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of the city, and was transferred to the Baptist Hospital for treatment, according to a medical source.

Meanwhile, the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz revealed on Tuesday evening that the Chief of Staff of the occupation army, Eyal Zamir, had approved plans to resume military operations in the Gaza Strip.

The newspaper indicated that the army is preparing for the possibility of a return to large-scale fighting in the Gaza Strip, against the backdrop of the ceasefire in Iran and Lebanon.

The newspaper claimed, citing unnamed security sources, that "the assessment is that Hamas has used the last few months to significantly rebuild its military and organizational capabilities, including tunnel networks that were damaged during the war."

The sources added, "The Chief of Staff approved several operational plans presented to him by the commander of the Southern Command, Major General Yaniv Asor, during discussions that addressed the possibility of resuming operations in the Gaza Strip."

The newspaper quoted sources as saying that “Asur” claimed that so far “no international body has been presented that is capable, willing, or has the actual ability to disarm Hamas,” and therefore “the Israeli army will be forced sooner or later to launch a large-scale attack in the Gaza Strip.”

According to the newspaper, the Israeli occupation army believes that the movement has also rebuilt its headquarters and command and control systems, after the martyrdom of several leaders of the military wing in the attacks.

Haaretz continued: "Senior officials in the Southern Command are seeking to accelerate the implementation of the approved plans," noting that "Asur stated in closed discussions that Israel cannot be satisfied with the status quo, given the activity along the buffer zone (the yellow line) in the Gaza Strip."

This line separates the areas where the Israeli occupation army is deployed to the east, and the areas where Palestinians are allowed to move to the west, and through it Israel occupies about 60% of the area of the Gaza Strip.

Since the ceasefire came into effect in October 2025, Israeli violations have resulted in the deaths of 985 Palestinians and injuries to 3,097 others, according to the latest data from the Government Media Office.

With American support, Israel began a two-year war of genocide in Gaza on October 8, 2023, which left about 73,000 martyrs and more than 173,000 wounded Palestinians, most of them children and women, and caused destruction to 90% of the infrastructure.
