The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Thursday that it had targeted sites where American F-35, F-15 and F-16 fighter jets were deployed.
The Revolutionary Guard added in a statement, reported by the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), that its Aerospace Force targeted, on Thursday morning, with 12 ballistic missiles, the locations of American F-35, F-15 and F-16 fighter jets, “as well as important facilities of the terrorist American army at the Azraq Air Base and the control center, and thus destroyed those facilities and a large number of fighter jets.”
The statement, addressing the Iranian people, said, “Your brave sons, O faithful and heroic Iranian people, who, in light of your steadfastness in the field of epics, have displayed a new standard of insight and resistance, have responded, relying on God Almighty, with a strong response to the missile attacks of the child-killing American army.”
He added: “The operations of the Islamic fighters will continue until the child-killing American army is punished and as long as the enemy’s evils continue.”
On the other hand, at least three people were injured in Tehran province as a result of the strikes carried out by the United States overnight , according to Iranian media reports on Thursday.
Fars News Agency quoted the head of the emergency services in Tehran province, Mohammad Esmaeil Tavakoli, as saying that “three people were injured in incidents related to the brutal American attacks on Tehran province.”
The strikes were largely concentrated in southern Iran, but the Revolutionary Guard said other locations near the capital were attacked, including Karaj, Nazarabad and Pishva.
