The DPP PERBASI summoned the Campus League regarding the incident in the semifinals

 



  The Central Executive Board of the All-Indonesia Basketball Association  summoned the Campus League organizers to request an explanation regarding the incident that occurred during the  Regional Campus League Basketball semifinals at the Pelita Harapan University (UPH) Basketball Court, Tangerang, Banten.

The incident occurred during the semifinal match between the Jakarta Perbanas Institute and Bina Nusantara.

During the match, a Perbanas player fell and was hit by a Binus player while fighting for the ball, causing his temple to hit the pitch. A medical examination revealed the player had a fractured temple.

"We have summoned the organizing committee of the Jakarta Regional Campus Basketball League to provide an explanation for the incident. We are fully committed to ensuring the athletes feel safe and secure on the field," said Nirmala Dewi, Secretary General of the Indonesian Basketball Association , in a statement.

The summons was conducted via an online meeting. The meeting was chaired by Nirmala Dewi and attended by Christopher Tanuwidjaja, Deputy Chairperson for Human Resources, Grace Evi Ekawati, Deputy Chairperson for the Java Zone, and Technical Delegate Abdul Rozak, along with other members of the PERBASI DPP management.

From the Campus League side, the meeting was attended by CEO Ryan Gozali along with Head of Competition & Talent Development Dave Leopold.

Nirmala expressed concern over the incident and emphasized that athlete safety is the organization's top priority.
