The Israeli army is demolishing buildings and facilities in the Gaza Strip

The Israeli occupation army demolished buildings and facilities inside areas it occupies in the northern and southern Gaza Strip at dawn on Tuesday, coinciding with gunfire and artillery shelling.

This comes amid continued violations by the Israeli army of the ceasefire agreement declared on October 10, 2025.

Local sources and witnesses reported that the army carried out three massive demolition operations on the remaining homes and facilities northeast of Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip.

The demolition operations coincided with heavy gunfire from Israeli vehicles in the vicinity of the area, along with artillery shelling that targeted areas northwest of the city of Rafah (south).

In the northern Gaza Strip, witnesses reported hearing a massive explosion caused by a demolition operation carried out by the Israeli army in the vicinity of the Al-Sanafour intersection in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

Israeli vehicles also fired heavily east of the Al-Tuffah and Al-Shuja'iya neighborhoods, while explosions were heard inside areas under army control, according to local residents.

In recent weeks, the Israeli occupation army has expanded its areas of control in various parts of the Gaza Strip by moving the concrete blocks that mark the “yellow line” westward, thus widening the scope of the restricted areas and forcing more residents to flee.

The army is stationed along what is known as the “yellow line,” a security strip imposed by Israel inside the Gaza Strip, preventing Palestinians from accessing areas near it, while controlling more than 70 percent of the Strip’s area.

According to data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Israeli violations since the start of the ceasefire have resulted in the martyrdom of 1,045 Palestinians and the injury of 3,380, most of whom are children and women.

Since October 8, 2023, more than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 173,000 injured, in addition to widespread destruction affecting 90 percent of the civilian infrastructure.
