Nutrition expert Dr. Anton Polyakov stated that grapes contain a wide range of vitamins, minerals and other active ingredients, but may be harmful to some people.
He said: "Among the people who should avoid eating grapes are those with fatty liver disease, particularly hepatitis, i.e., those who suffer from serious liver problems. This also includes diabetics, people who are intolerant to any of the components of grapes, as well as those who are allergic to them."
He pointed out that this category also includes people who are morbidly obese, stressing that they are advised to avoid eating grapes altogether.
Polyakov explained that grapes are beneficial for others as well, because they contain a wide range of vitamins, minerals and active compounds, noting that dark grape varieties are the most beneficial for the body.
Polyakov addressed the hidden dangers of coffee sweetened with syrup, noting that this syrup contains sugars that are rapidly absorbed by the body, leading to a sharp rise in blood sugar levels.
He added that this drink is particularly harmful to people who are overweight, obese, or diabetic.
