Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet is close to ending his career with Al Ahly, amid advanced negotiations with Saudi club Al-Riyadh, in preparation for his transfer during the current summer transfer window.
Media figure Ahmed Shobeir revealed that communications between the two parties have witnessed positive developments in recent days, noting that the management of Al-Riyadh Club expressed optimism about completing the deal, while negotiations with Al-Ahly are moving towards reaching a final agreement.
Shobeir explained that the player is inclined to embark on a new experience in the Saudi League, after facing significant public and media pressure during the past period, in addition to the ongoing controversy surrounding his contract and salary, factors that made him consider taking on a new challenge outside the Red Castle.
Trezeguet believes that moving to the Saudi League represents an opportunity to regain his form and get away from the pressure, pending the official conclusion of negotiations and the announcement of the deal in the coming period.
