Italian Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of the Brazilian national football team, commented on their exit from the 2026 World Cup after the loss to Norway.
The Brazil vs. Norway match was held at the New York New Jersey Stadium as part of the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.
Brazil lost 2-1 to Norway and were eliminated from the World Cup in the round of 16 for the first time since 1990.
The Brazilian national team had achieved a victory over Japan by two goals to one in the round of 32, and the Norwegian national team also defeated Ivory Coast by the same result.
Ancelotti wrote on his official social media account: "The pain today is very intense, but our confidence in what we are building is unwavering and will never be shaken."
He concluded: "We will continue to work for our national team. We will always stay together. Long live Brazil."
Ancelotti had renewed his contract with the Brazilian Football Confederation until 2030, before the start of the current edition of the World Cup.
