Adhyaksa FC, a promoted club for the 2026/2027 Liga 1 season, has begun finalizing its preparations for the competition by holding its first training session at the SPH Karawaci Field in Tangerang. The club is also preparing to change the identity of the club, which will be based in Central Kalimantan.
Adhyaksa FC Club President Eko Setyawan said that the process of changing the club's name is ongoing following plans to make Central Kalimantan the team's new home ground.
"The club's name will be more local, identifying with the region and using the regional language that is familiar to the people of Central Kalimantan," said Eko.
He said the change in identity is expected to strengthen the club's closeness to the community and be part of efforts to encourage the development of football in Central Kalimantan.
According to Eko, the name change application is currently awaiting PSSI approval and is targeted to be ratified at the PSSI Annual Congress scheduled for August 3, 2026.
