Didier Deschamps, the coach of the French national team, spoke about the end of his career as manager of Les Bleus after the loss to England in the third-place match of the World Cup.

France finished the World Cup in fourth place after losing to England 6-4, which was Deschamps' last match with Les Bleus, as he will be succeeded by Zinedine Zidane in the coming period.

Deschamps emphasized his great pride in coaching the French national team , explaining that the experience of supervising the technical management of Les Bleus is the best in his life, and that he and the rest of his team's players have not yet come to terms with the loss in the semi-finals of the World Cup against Spain.

Deschamps said in statements reported by TyC Sports: "We have reached this stage and I can say that it is the most beautiful experience I have ever had. It started in 2012 and we were able to face all the competitors. I am very proud of all the members of the technical staff. I have always said that it is a great honor to be the coach of the French national team. I felt like I was really responsible for these players and regardless of what happens I will remain a silent supporter of this team."

Regarding trailing England by four goals in the first half before coming back in the second half, he added: "As Kylian Mbappe said, we still haven't come to terms with the defeat against Spain and I had to make better decisions in this match. I felt some annoyance, and of course, out of pride and sportsmanship, we tried to make up for it. If they had reacted in this way, and almost succeeded, it would have been great."

He concluded: "I'm going on vacation to spend quality time with my loved ones. We've exhausted a lot of our energy, and what happened in my personal life is something I wouldn't wish on anyone."
