Argentina boasts it won't feel any pressure against England

Argentina national team midfielder Alexis Mac Allister emphasized that his squad is not feeling any pressure ahead of the 2026 World Cup semifinal match against England, Wednesday (July 15) at Atlanta Stadium, United States.

"We don't feel any pressure. We've had the experience of playing in a World Cup semifinal, and we hope that helps," said Mac Allister before training at the Atlanta United Training Ground in Marietta.

However, the footballer who has a career at the giant English club, Liverpool, does not look down on England.

Mac Allister believes that Thomas Tuchel's England side has the potential to make things difficult for Argentina.

"England have a fantastic squad of players and they're managed by a great coach. I'm not at all surprised they've made it this far (to the 2026 World Cup)," said the 27-year-old.

He emphasized that Argentina always respects every opponent by displaying maximum performance to win the match.

Mac Allister said every Argentine player was ready to die on the pitch for their country.
