Attorney General's Office: Febrie Adriansyah resigns voluntarily

The Attorney General's Office  said that Febrie Adriansyah resigned from his position as Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes  voluntarily so that the alleged corruption case that ensnared him would not impact the Adhyaksa Corps.

"He doesn't want any negative consequences for the institution. He truly wants everything to be done professionally and accountably," said Anang Supriatna, Head of the Legal Information Center  at the Attorney General's Office , at the AGO's Main Building.

Furthermore, Anang said that Febrie no longer received security from TNI personnel because he was no longer serving.

According to him, Febrie's resignation is also related to the legal process for the corruption case which has now been transferred from the National Police to the Attorney General's Office.

"The Attorney General's Office respects this decision and ensures that all duties, functions, and case handling within the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes continue to operate normally in accordance with applicable mechanisms," Anang said.

Meanwhile, Febrie and another person with the initials DR have been named as suspects in a case of alleged corruption and money laundering.
