New Jersey, United States Football observer Justinus Laksana, known as Coach Justin, wants Lionel Messi to win the 2026 World Cup to end the debate about who is the greatest footballer of all time.
"So, personally, I'm backing Messi (to win the 2026 World Cup - ed.)," Justin said at the New York Stadium in New Jersey, United States, Saturday.
The debate about GOAT often arises when discussing two names, Lionel Messi and Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to Justin, Argentina has a big capital to beat Spain at the top of the 2026 World Cup.
The former Indonesian national futsal team coach continued, saying the squad, nicknamed "Team Tango," is highly disciplined. He also stated that Argentina is highly motivated to help Messi win a second World Cup at the end of his career.
"This World Cup could be Messi's last dance. The Argentine national team certainly wants to deliver something special," Justin said.
Apart from that, he also assessed that their fighting spirit was very good.
This is evident in Argentina's success in three knockout stages. Against Egypt in the round of 16, they won 3-2 after trailing by two goals.
