The Indonesian Futsal Federation stated that it is still awaiting an official statement from FIFA regarding Indonesia's candidacy to host the 2028 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
"There's no official information yet. We're still waiting," said Michael Sianipar, Chairman of the Indonesian Futsal Federation, when contacted in Jakarta on Thursday, responding to information circulating on social media that Indonesia is in the running to host the 2028 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
Michael explained that his party had conveyed Indonesia's interest in hosting the world's largest futsal competition to FIFA.
However, since that submission, FFI has not received an official announcement from FIFA or instructions on the next steps in pursuing the bidding.
