Saudi press reports have revealed a financial crisis hitting Al-Nassr Saudi Club, which has led to the suspension of a number of administrative and technical matters during the current period.
According to Al-Riyadh newspaper, the crisis extended to the issue of player salaries, as a number of them received their June salaries incomplete, while the administration is working to complete the remaining amounts during the coming period.
She explained that the lack of financial liquidity also halted the process of contracting a foreign player to compensate for the departure of Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, and the administration has not entered into any official negotiations with a replacement for him so far, until the financial situation becomes clear.
Al-Nasr is preparing for the new football season under the leadership of Australian Ange Postecoglou , who is looking to continue the team's successes after winning the Saudi League title last season.
Al-Nasr is expected to compete for four titles in the new season: the Saudi Professional League, the King's Cup, the Saudi Super Cup, and the AFC Champions League.
