The Central Board of the Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation has not set a high target for the participation of two of its athletes in the World Climbing Youth Championship in Arco, Italy, from July 18-25, 2026.
Amri explained that Cikal will compete in two disciplines: lead and boulder , with the U17 men's individual lead and the U17 men's individual boulder . Meanwhile, Haddan will compete in the speed discipline , with the U19 men's individual speed .
The target for Cikal and Haddan, he continued, is only to gain experience competing in international events, especially mentally and technically since the national training camp in Bekasi City, West Java.
The PP FPTI and the coaching team hope that the two athletes will experience more of the international tournament atmosphere so they will gain more confidence in representing Indonesia.
