US President Donald Trump attacked NBA star LeBron James when asked whether James or Michael Jordan was the greatest player in the history of the game.
Trump said, "Michael Jordan is a friend of mine. I play golf with him, and he's a great guy."
He added, "I think LeBron might be racist, or maybe he doesn't like Trump, I don't know. I only like people who like me, so I would choose Michael Jordan without hesitation."
Trump did not explain why he used the term "racist" to describe LeBron James, who announced on Friday that he will play for the Philadelphia 76ers next season, which will be his 24th season in the NBA.
It is worth noting that LeBron James (41 years old) has won the NBA title four times, and has also won the league's best player award and the best player in the finals four times.
LeBron James was one of Trump’s most vocal critics during his two terms as president. He also supported Democratic Party candidates in previous presidential elections and in 2017 called Trump a “moron” on the X social media platform, amid controversy over the White House’s invitations to NBA champions.
