  The Indonesian women's U18 national basketball team secured third place in the 2026 FIBA ​​U18 Women's Asia Cup Division B after defeating India 70-50 in the third-place match at Nimibutr Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand, on Sunday.

This victory also served as revenge for Indonesia after losing 46-79 to India in the Group A phase on July 15.

According to FIBA ​​statistics, the first quarter was a tight affair. India held an early 8-2 lead, but Indonesia rallied and took a 12-11 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Entering the second quarter, both teams traded leads. India closed the first half with a narrow 29-27 lead after capitalizing on several Indonesian mistakes.


Indonesia played more aggressively after halftime. Fredy's team took control in the third quarter, scoring 25 points, while allowing only 11 for India. Indonesia closed the quarter with a convincing 52-40 lead.
