English football legend John Terry said the quality of the England national team is better than that of Argentina, ahead of the two teams' meeting in the 2026 World Cup semifinals at Atlanta Stadium, USA.
Terry admitted he was not at all worried about Argentina's strength, which is strengthened by Lionel Messi, and he was confident that this year would be England's year to win the title again after 1966.
"I don't see Argentina as a better team than us. Player-by-player, I think we're better," Terry said, as quoted on FIFA's official website on Tuesday.
According to him, what makes the Three Lions' performance this year special is that they have always managed to get through difficult moments.
