Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi) Meutya Hafid offered a model for Indonesia's digital transformation that prioritizes a balance between connectivity, digital economic growth, and community protection at the United Nations (UN) forum.
In a forum titled World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2026: Leaders SummitX, Meutya stated that digital transformation must be built on three main pillars, namely Connected, Grown, and Secured, so that technological progress not only accelerates development but also protects society.
Citing a statement confirmed , he emphasized that Indonesia's experience shows that digital transformation cannot be measured solely by the number of internet users or the size of the digital economy.
What is more important is how technology can create a safe, inclusive, and trustworthy digital space.
The Connected Pillar is the main foundation for equalizing digital access throughout Indonesia.
