Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho has begun outlining the features of Real Madrid's team for the new season after the players returned to training at the Valdebebas center, by evaluating a number of young players before the start of official competitions.
After monitoring the physical and technical levels of the players who did not participate in the last World Cup, Mourinho, in coordination with the club's management, made initial decisions regarding the future of some talents, between giving them a chance with the first team or leaving on loan to gain experience
According to Spanish media reports, Argentine Franco Mastantono tops the list of players likely to leave, as he does not appear to be part of Mourinho's plans for next season, and the club is considering loaning him out so that he can get more playing time.
Defender Raul Asensio is also close to leaving Real Madrid temporarily, as the club seeks to sign a new center-back to strengthen the back line.
In contrast, young striker Gonzalo Garcia managed to catch the eye of the Portuguese coach, and is close to remaining in the first team squad, despite previous interest in signing him to Fulham in England.
Defender Dean Hoesen, on the other hand, is looking to prove himself strongly during the preseason, after showing positive levels in training, amid expectations that he will get a bigger opportunity during the new season.
Young midfielder Cherif Fofana, 16, also stole the spotlight during training thanks to his talent, becoming one of the names nominated to appear with the first team during the preparatory tour.
