The Chairman of the Indonesian Boxing Association (Perbati), Ray Zulham, stated that the gold medal won by Anggie Intania Chalik in the 2026 Asian Boxing U19 and U23 Championships is a valuable asset for Indonesian boxing's efforts to compete in the Olympics.
"Of course, our goal is for us (the Indonesian boxing branch) to be able to enter the Olympics again," Ray Zulham told the media after watching Anggie Intania Chalik's performance at the Basket Hall, Senayan.
The Indonesian national boxing team finally bagged a gold medal presented by Anggie Intania Chalik by defeating India's representative, Gunjan, in the final of the women's light flyweight U19 (45-48kg).
This achievement adds to Perbati's enthusiasm for preparing athletes to qualify for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, United States.
