Meat is an important source of energy and is rich in vitamin B12, zinc, and a wide range of essential amino acids. Therefore, it is not advisable to suddenly stop consuming it.

According to experts, suddenly eliminating meat from your diet can lead to deficiencies in essential micronutrients and various related diseases. Therefore, transitioning to a vegetarian diet should be a gradual process.

Experts point out that suddenly stopping meat consumption can lead to weakness due to iron deficiency. This is because iron, although present in other foods like apples and buckwheat, is less readily absorbed. Consequently, this can also lead to oxygen deficiency, which may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Another consequence of abruptly stopping meat consumption is increased hunger, which is difficult to satisfy with plant-based foods. Therefore, they warn against the risk of overindulging in sweets and pastries, and the resulting weight gain.

Experts confirm that in this case, the body "will begin to consume itself. Because it needs protein as a basic building block for muscle. And if food is not available, it will resort to its reserves to support the functions of internal organs."

They advise a gradual transition to a healthy diet, starting with the most important step—eliminating processed meat products. These include sausages, cold cuts, cured meats, and many ready-made meals, as eliminating them alone guarantees better health.

According to them, those who wish to completely eliminate meat should then avoid heavy, fatty meats and replace them with chicken, turkey, and fish. Once the stomach has adjusted to lighter foods, the gradual elimination of meat can continue.

On the other hand, experts warn of the dangers of popular diets that rely on consuming meat products and excluding plant-based foods.

According to them, processed meats lose most of their nutrients, while plant-based foods provide the body with about 90 percent of essential micronutrients. However, they do not recommend completely abstaining from meat, as this may cause a negative reaction in the body. Instead, they advise reducing meat consumption, for example, by designating meat-free days and replacing it with healthy plant-based foods.
