Indonesian rock climber Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi expressed her gratitude for achieving success in the 2026 World Rock Climbing Championships thanks to the support of the national training center from the government.
"I would like to express my gratitude to President Prabowo and the Minister of Youth and Sports for their continued support in running the national training and tryouts so that we can achieve success," said Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi in an official statement from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Desak Made recently achieved a proud achievement at the 2026 World Climbing Series Chamonix in France by winning gold in the women's speed event for the Indonesian team.
This achievement also marked the second consecutive title for the athlete from Bali, after previously winning gold at the 2026 World Climbing Series Krakow in Poland the previous week.
Desak Made said that government support has been a motivation for him and other athletes to achieve.
