The Moscow Military District's Drone Control Center has completed tests on the "UN-001" drone, designed to train combat drone operators.

The Russian newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda noted that the new drone has a reinforced composite structure and a solid base capable of withstanding more than 150 hard landings, and is characterized by the ease and speed of its maintenance after intensive training. In most cases, it is enough to replace its small propeller only, and then resume training.

According to military experts, using such aircraft to train drone operators saves a lot of effort and money, as they are much cheaper than combat drones and are designed for repeated use.

The training program using the new aircraft lasts for about three months, during which drone operators train on assembling the aircraft, calibrating its parts, repairing it in the field, and conducting realistic training exercises on controlling it in various conditions

The Russian trainer, Sava, confirmed that the course begins with professional competency tests and working on the simulator, then moves to the stage of actual flight, combat tactics and coordination with other units, and is completed with training on surveillance, shooting and field first aid, with the aim of graduating a fighter ready to work in the special military operations area.
