During the "DroneExpo-2026" exhibition, Russia unveiled a new system capable of detecting drones at a range of up to 50 km.

An expert from the Russian company "Gruza", which developed the system, said on the sidelines of the exhibition: "The Gadalka (Seer) system is an electronic radio reconnaissance station whose mission is to detect aerial targets. This station operates in passive mode, meaning that it does not transmit any signals, but only receives signals. This system can detect enemy reconnaissance drones at a range of up to 50 km."

He added: "This system can cover a monitoring area of 8,500 square kilometers, and operates within a frequency range between 890 and 6000 MHz, with the ability to simultaneously scan up to five bands."

The expert also noted that “Gadalka” can transmit all the information it collects directly to the military, thanks to its integration with the Russian “Glaz/Gruza” (Eye/Storm) combat management system. He added: “All information is transmitted to a single closed server, where each military unit creates its own closed server, on which both the detected points and locations are displayed. In addition, if the Gadalka system detects an aerial target, it immediately displays its location to all users in real time.”
