"The biggest in World Cup history"... How much will the Spanish national team receive as a reward after winning the World Cup?

Spain won the 2026 World Cup title for the second time in its history after defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final match that went into extra time.

Winning the 2026 World Cup was not only a sporting achievement for the Spanish national team, but it also brought a huge financial reward, after FIFA allocated a $50 million prize to the tournament champion, the largest financial reward in the history of the World Cup.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation is expected to receive the full prize money, estimated at approximately 44 million euros, as part of the prizes allocated by FIFA for the current edition of the tournament.

In addition to the financial prize for winning, the Spanish national team benefited from the support provided by FIFA to all teams participating in the 2026 World Cup.

Each team that qualified for the tournament received $1.5 million before the start of the competition, to cover the costs of training camps, travel and organization. This amount is separate from the financial prizes for the tournament results.

The Spanish national team and the Royal Spanish Football Federation agreed that the players would receive approximately 45% of the prize money they earned for winning the World Cup, which is equivalent to about 20 million euros for the entire team.

By distributing this award among the 26 players of the Spanish national team, each player will receive a total reward of approximately 755,000 euros.

This amount will be uniform for all team members regardless of the number of minutes they played or their participation in the various matches of the tournament.

This title is Spain's second in the World Cup tournaments, after the first title in 2010.
