Maria Veronica Irene Herdjiono, Head of the National Achievement Center of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education assessed that the DBL Super Teacher program for the 2026-2027 DBL season could improve the quality of sports teachers.
According to him, the program initiated by DBL Indonesia complements basketball development efforts in schools because it not only focuses on student achievement but also improves the competence of teachers as mentors and coaches of student athletes.
"So they are guided by professionals, not only training them theoretically, but also practically," said Maria after attending the launch of the DBL Super Teacher program by DBL Indonesia, at the DBL Academy.
He explained that improving teacher capacity would have a lasting impact because the knowledge gained could be directly applied in their respective schools. This is expected to improve the quality of physical education instruction and basketball coaching in schools.
