The House of Representatives highlighted the importance of electricity security in support of the Kura Kura Special Economic Zone in Bali

Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives  highlighted the security of electricity supply in Bali as one aspect that needs to be strengthened to support the sustainable development of the Kura Kura Bali Special Economic Zone.

"Electricity reserves in Bali are currently relatively minimal, so they require attention to align with the development of environmentally friendly energy-based tourism," said Sugeng Suparwoto, Chairman of the Working Visit Team of Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, during a visit to the area, as quoted in an official statement in Denpasar.

According to Sugeng, Bali's high dependence on diesel-powered power plants  is one of the issues that needs to be addressed, including through the development of energy infrastructure such as the Bali LNG Floating Storage Regasification Unit  in the Serangan area.

He emphasized that any efforts to improve the reliability of electricity supply must be carried out carefully while still paying attention to the aspirations of the local community.

In addition to the energy aspect, Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives also reviewed investment development in the Kura Kura Special Economic Zone  in Bali.

According to Edy, investment quality is not only measured by the value of the investment, but also by the economic impact it generates for the surrounding community and ecosystem.
