The Indonesian National Armed Forces  and the Yahukimo community evacuate the remaining debris from the Pilatus plane

 




  The Indonesian National Armed Forces  task force, along with local residents, religious leaders, and traditional leaders from Balinggama Village, Papua Mountains, evacuated the body and debris of a Pilatus aircraft with registration number PK-RCY belonging to PT AMA.

The plane was burned by the West Papua National Liberation Army-Free Papua Organization (TPNPB-OPM) and killed the plane's pilot Nicholas F. Goselin on July 2, 2026.

"Together with the community, traditional and religious leaders, we worked together to evacuate the bodies and the charred wreckage of the plane from the pioneer airstrip in the Balinggama District of the Papua Mountains," said Commander of the Joint Defense Region III Command, Lieutenant General TNI Lucky Avianto in his statement, Saturday.

Lucky said he went directly to the evacuation location accompanied by Kaskogabwilhan III Air Marshal Joko Sugeng Sriyanto and the main official  of Kogabwilham III.
