Iran's Revolutionary Guard announced Wednesday in a statement broadcast on state television that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the US "hostile acts" cease , and threatened to close other strategic export routes.
On Tuesday, Washington launched a new series of strikes against Iran and reinstated the blockade on its ports. The Revolutionary Guard stated that "retaliatory operations by our fighters will continue, and the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States ends its acts of aggression."
The statement added, “The enemy (…) should also expect to close other routes for exporting oil and gas that serve the interests of the United States and its allies.”
The Revolutionary Guard stated, “Either oil and gas exports in the region will be available to everyone, or they will not be available to anyone.”
