Tolic said the President's Cup was very useful for adaptation

Persib Bandung coach Igor Tolic said the 2026 President's Cup was very useful for his team as a means of adaptation, especially for new players.

"Through these three matches, especially for all the new players, I want them to experience the club atmosphere, the pitch, and the atmosphere of the crowd. To see how big Persib is," Tolic said, as quoted on Persib's official website on Saturday.

After winning the Super League title for the third consecutive time, Persib has strengthened its squad to face a more challenging next season as it competes in four competitions, including the Super League and the Asian Champions League Two.

To date, Persib has brought in six new players, namely Balsa Sekulic (Montenegro), Gakuto Notsuda (Japan), Gabriel Mutombo (France), Luka Menalo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), as well as two Indonesian national team players Ragnar Oratmangoen and Sandy Walsh.
