Advisor Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, celebrated the Egyptian national team’s victory over their Australian counterparts on Friday evening in the round of 32 of the World Cup.
Turki Al-Sheikh posted an AI-generated image on his X platform account showing the large difference in height between an Australian player and Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, in reference to the physical superiority enjoyed by the Australian team during the match, and commented on it saying: “It’s not about height, by the way.”
Turki Al-Sheikh also congratulated Egypt in another post, saying: "Congratulations Egypt," and he attached emojis to it.
Egypt defeated Australia in the round of 32 on penalties with a score of 4-2, after the original and extra time ended in a draw (1-1), to reach the round of 16 for the first time in its history.
Egypt is scheduled to meet Argentina in the round of 16, after Argentina narrowly qualified by defeating Cape Verde 3-2, next Tuesday.
