A gift for Lukashenko: the first Belarusian-made automatic assault rifle

 

Belarusian arms manufacturers presented Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko with the first domestically produced VSK-100B assault rifle.

The plaque accompanying the gift was inscribed with: "Not for war... but for trust in peace!"

The first Belarusian-made assault rifle was presented to President Alexander Lukashenko during his August 18 visit to the Kedma Tech scientific production company in the Minsk region, according to the Telegram channel "Pol Pervogo." Observers note that the plaque accompanying the gift bears the inscription: "Not for war... but for trust in peace!"

News outlets explained that this scientific and production complex is part of the Military Industrial Committee system, and specializes in developing, producing and marketing high-tech products for military and civilian purposes.

The head of state commissioned the creation of another copy of the rifle to be placed in the Palace of Independence museum, noting that the Belarusian rifle had entered service in the army.

Lukashenko also stressed the need to work on producing 100% domestically manufactured combat weapons.

The company manufactures a range of products including small arms, optical surveillance equipment, and robots. Notably, the new rifle can be equipped with optical devices, a silencer, a bayonet, and an underbarrel grenade launcher. The availability of additional attachments also allows the weapon to be used as a light machine gun or a sniper rifle.

It is worth noting that the Belarusian president had previously emphasized that Belarus pursues a peaceful policy and has no intention of engaging in military clashes, despite the various accusations leveled against it. He affirmed that the foundation of stability in the republic is honest work and a strong economy.
