Military Watch Magazine quoted Russian Aerospace Forces Deputy Commander Sergei Kobylash as saying: "This fighter jet is a key element in achieving air superiority."

With the increasing number of Su-57 fighters in the Russian Aerospace Forces, these aircraft have become increasingly involved in special operations, being used in air combat and precision strikes against vital targets, including air defense systems. In 2024, the Ukrainian side noted that the Russian fifth-generation fighters had begun operating in full formations and that the complexity of the operations in which they participated had increased significantly.

A pair of fighter jets might carry out strikes against ground targets using Kh-69 semi-stealth missiles or guided bombs, while another pair simultaneously covers the operation using R-37M long-range air-to-air missiles.

The magazine noted that the Su-57 fighter's combat capabilities in aerial engagements far exceed those of other Russian fighters, pointing out that the integrated set of technologies that combine stealth, avionics, sensors and armament gives it unparalleled capabilities, according to the magazine.

It is worth mentioning that the Su-57 is a Russian multi-role fifth-generation fighter jet, designed to deal with various types of land, sea and air targets, and is characterized by a low radar signature that makes it more difficult to detect, as well as being equipped with advanced systems that allow it to carry out a wide range of missions.
