Media reports have revealed that the future of Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior will be decided in the coming days, amid news of interest from English Premier League champions Arsenal in signing the Brazilian international.
The Athletic reported that negotiations are scheduled to take place in the coming days, while the Spanish newspaper Marca reported that Real Madrid informed the Brazilian international player that they would not improve their offer to extend his contract.
Vinicius Junior (26 years old) has been playing for Real Madrid since 2018 and his contract still runs until 2027.
Real Madrid do not want to see Vinicius leave for free next year, and would be prepared to let him leave this season if he refuses to renew his contract.
Vinicius is a key player in the attack of the Royal team, which also includes Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, and Jose Mourinho, the new Real coach, wants to work with him.
However, reports also indicate that Real Madrid are looking to sign Ivorian winger Yann Diomande from RB Leipzig, as the player can play on both wings and could pose a challenge to Vinicius on the left wing.
