On Saturday, the Israeli army continued its attacks in several areas of southern Lebanon , two days after the conclusion of the seventh round of Lebanese-Israeli negotiations, amid talk of “positive progress.”
The official Lebanese news agency reported that “the (Israeli) artillery shelling has continued intermittently since midnight Friday-Saturday until the morning hours of this morning on the forests and high ground of Ali al-Taher on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa,” in the Nabatieh district.
She added that “the bombing targeted the area between Doha Kafr Rumman and the Al-Dabsha hill overlooking Nabatieh.”
The agency noted that “Israeli enemy artillery shelled the vicinity of the town of Mansouri (in the Tyre district) with a number of shells, which led to damage to a number of houses.
The agency also reported that “Israeli warplanes flew at low altitude in the airspace of the central and western sectors,” without providing further details.
This comes two days after the conclusion of the seventh round of Lebanese-Israeli negotiations, sponsored by the United States and with the participation of delegations from both sides, to discuss issues related to the implementation of the “framework agreement,” amid talk of “positive progress.”
