The official website of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) praised Egyptian player Hamza Abdel Karim, the striker of Barcelona, after his outstanding performance during the past period and his participation with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup.
Hamza Abdel Karim participated for the first time in his career in the 2026 World Cup with the Egyptian national team in a bold decision by coach Hossam Hassan, and he performed well in the minutes he played.
Hamza joined the training sessions of Barcelona's first football team and succeeded in participating in all of Barcelona's friendly matches, and he also scored two goals against Birmingham City.
Hansi Flick excluded all the young players to train with the Barcelona Athletic team except for Hamza and Alvaro Cortes, in an exceptional decision that reinforces Flick’s confidence in him and his high technical abilities.
FIFA's official website highlighted the players who shone at the 2025 Youth World Cup in Qatar and are now the talk of the world, numbering 7 players including Hamza Abdul Karim.
