The latest Russian supply drone, named "Fordalak" and equipped with six propellers (hexacopters), continues to successfully carry out its missions in the special military operation area.

The Fordalak drone was specifically designed for intensive use on the front lines, with a focus on three key elements: simplicity, modular design, and high survivability in combat conditions.

This aircraft, which is a hexacopter (six-rotor) aircraft, is an upgraded version of the “Corsun 6” civilian aircraft, but it has undergone modifications that make it capable of operating in environments where commercial aircraft lose communication and crash when exposed to jamming or electronic warfare.

The developers of the Fordalak relied on a heavy platform with six main propellers in its design, prioritizing the transport of the required payload, achieving operational independence, and enhancing resistance to external influences.

The aircraft is also designed to operate in harsh weather conditions and is unaffected by active satellite signal jamming. Unlike commercial models, it uses a dual control system, and its navigation unit is equipped with a triple signal filtering system that eliminates external interference.

To determine its position and direction, the aircraft simultaneously uses four global satellite navigation systems:

Russian GLONASS .

Chinese Bidu .

European Galileo .

American GPS .

If one of these signals is jammed or its location is spoofed, the onboard computer automatically isolates the unreliable signal and switches to backup channels. It can also be equipped with a motion-sensing navigation system that provides centimeter-level landing accuracy, which is crucial when delivering medicine, food, or ammunition to specific locations.

One of the most notable advantages of the Fordalak is its ability to continue operating even in the event of a complete loss of navigation and digital communication signals, as it is compatible with the Encopator 2.0 and Encopator 3.0 external communication systems, and it has three independent backup lines for manual control via encrypted communication protocols.

The operator can regain control of the aircraft at any stage of the mission, and if the digital communication channels fail, the system switches to a low-quality, but more interference-resistant, analog video channel, allowing the operator to complete the landing based on direct vision.

The declared communication range is 30 kilometers, which covers the requirements of most medium-depth tactical operations. The aircraft can carry a payload of up to 15 kilograms and fly for up to 56 minutes at a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour, though these figures can vary depending on the payload and weather conditions.

Thanks to these specifications, the Fordalak can transport ammunition, medicine, and communication equipment to the front lines, even in areas with intense electronic warfare activity.
