The Indonesian team added two bronze medals at the 2026 World Climbing Asia Youth Championship in the women's U-17 and men's U-19 speed relay events, bringing their total to four medals at the Asian youth climbing championship.
The two additional bronze medals were won by the pair Naura Jasmine Rayya Syafiqa and Keyzia Queenme Candley Riwoe in the U-17 women's speed relay event and Amirul Rizqi Febriansyah and Malik Baqmuhyibar in the U-19 men's speed relay event in the competition held in Guiyang, China.
Naura and Keyzia secured the third podium after recording a time of 18.81 seconds in the final round. They previously placed third in qualifying with a best time of 16.82 seconds, according to World Climbing records.
In the bronze medal match, the Indonesian pair defeated the South Korean team. China dominated the event, with the China-1 team winning gold with a time of 15.13 seconds, followed by China-2 with a time of 15.85 seconds.
Meanwhile, Amirul and Haddan won bronze in the U-19 men's speed relay after recording a time of 11.09 seconds in the final. The Indonesian pair started the competition on a positive note, finishing second in the qualifying round with a time of 10.96 seconds.
China won the gold medal with a time of 10.57 seconds, while South Korea finished second after its athlete fell. Kazakhstan finished fourth with a time of 11.27 seconds, and Japan finished fifth with 12.32 seconds.
The two additional bronze medals complete the two medals previously won by Indonesia in individual events.
Young Indonesian athlete Ardana Cikal Damarwulan first won gold in the men's U-17 bouldering event. Cikal topped the final with a score of 69.7, beating Takumi Nakayama of Japan and Jungyoon Choi of South Korea, who both scored 69.2.
Admiral Krido Swarnabhumi also won a medal in the men's U-17 speed event. Krido won bronze after clocking 5.43 seconds in the third-place match, marking his personal best and his first podium finish in an Asian climbing championship.
With a total of one gold and three bronze medals, Indonesia ranked fourth in the medal standings at the 2026 Guiyang World Climbing Asia Youth Championship.
