Moscow is preparing for an economic event on the sidelines of the Russian-Arab summit

An advisor to the Russian president, Anton Kobykov, stated that Moscow expects to organize a major economic event on the sidelines of the Russian-Arab summit, with the date to be announced later.

Kobykov, an advisor to the Russian president and executive secretary of the organizing committee for the Eastern Economic Forum, said in an interview with TASS news agency ahead of the forum that Russia is counting on holding an important economic event on the sidelines of the Russian-Arab summit.

He explained: "We will certainly announce the specific dates for holding it as soon as all the necessary conditions are in place, and we expect that there will be an important economic event on the sidelines of the summit."

Kobykov noted that the implementation of specific projects is currently under discussion, explaining that agreements related to these projects were signed within the framework of the 2026 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and Russian Energy Week.

The Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok from September 1 to 4, on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University.

The main theme of the 2026 Eastern Economic Forum is "The Far East: Development for the People".

The forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Russian government, while TASS is the general media partner for the event.
