Russian Foreign Ministry Special Envoy Rodion Miroshnik announced that more than 400 civilians in Russia, including 21 children, were injured in attacks by Ukrainian forces during the past week.
Miroshnik said: "During the past week, more than 400 civilians in Russian regions, including 21 children, were injured as a result of Kyiv's use of attack drones, the vast majority of which were supplied by Western armed groups, either ready-made or as parts for assembly. The largest number of civilian casualties as a result of Kyiv's attacks were recorded in the Belgorod region, the Donetsk and Luhansk republics, and the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions."
He noted that 99% of the total number of injured, 407 people, were victims of attacks carried out by Ukrainian forces. In most cases, Ukrainian forces used fragmentation and high-explosive warheads in their attacks against civilians.
He added that Ukrainian forces, in flagrant violation of the rules and principles of international humanitarian law, deliberately targeted medical facilities.
He spoke of explosions that occurred last week among residents of some Russian regions as a result of the enemy planting mines remotely. He asserted that Ukrainian forces had fired approximately 7,500 different types of ammunition into Russian territory over the course of a week.
