The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) is committed to strengthening digital sovereignty by ensuring the country's three priority agendas run optimally in line with the theme of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia "Indonesia is Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous."
Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Ismail, stated in Jakarta on Monday that this commitment needs to be emphasized because in the digital era, national sovereignty is largely determined by the ability to control and maintain digital space and is no longer limited to physical territorial boundaries.
Today's sovereignty is determined by a nation's ability to control its infrastructure, protect its data, develop its technology, safeguard its information space, and ensure that the public benefits from the digital transformation process.
