WhatsApp has introduced three feature updates to its group chat service , including a poll feature and a group chat creator.
According to a WhatsApp press release the "Polls" feature now allows poll creators to set a time limit for group members to vote, allowing for more objective voting results.
Additionally, poll creators are now given up to 15 minutes to edit questions in their polls to correct typos or provide clarification.
The feature update also allows for the anonymity of voters so that all group members can feel more comfortable expressing their preferences in polls.
"Whether you're finalizing a meeting time or place, it's now easier than ever to move from questions to decisions," WhatsApp said in a statement regarding the "Polling" feature update.
This feature allows users to tag all group members simultaneously, eliminating the need to tag each member individually to highlight important messages within the group.
In larger groups with more than 32 members, the "@all" feature is only available to group admins.
This feature also allows the delivery of important messages to users even when group chat notifications are muted.
