Polish footballer Oskar Cordus, 20, died from serious injuries sustained when his car struck a deer on a highway.
The tragedy occurred in the early hours of last Monday morning, on a ring road near the Polish city of Gostin.
According to the newspaper "Brzeglund Sportofi," one of the cars collided with a deer that suddenly came out onto the road, before the collision threw the animal towards the car coming from the opposite direction, which was being driven by Cordus.
The gazelle broke through the car's windshield and fell inside the passenger compartment, causing the player to suffer a large number of serious injuries.
Kordos, who was 20 years old, was airlifted to a hospital in Poznan, but attempts to save him were unsuccessful, and he died that same evening.
Kordos was a player for Kania Gostin, who mourned him with a touching message, expressing their solidarity with his family and friends during these difficult times.
