Como top Serie A after beating Genoa 4-1

Como topped the Italian League standings after defeating Genoa 4-1 in the third week of the Italian League at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

Como's victory came thanks to goals scored by Martin Baturina, Assane Diao (2) and Nico Paz, while Genoa had taken the lead through Milutin Osmajic, according to Serie A records.

The result moves Como up to first place in the Italian League standings after collecting seven points from three matches, one point ahead of AS Roma in second place.

On the other hand, the defeat saw Genoa drop to 19th in the Serie A standings after going through three matches without a single point.

Como created the first chance of the match through Nico Paz's shot in the 19th minute, but the ball was saved by Genoa goalkeeper Justin Bijlow.

Genoa scored first in the 19th minute after Milutin Osmajic was able to break through Como's goal, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead.

Como were able to respond well after managing to equalize the score to 1-1 in the 25th minute through a goal scored by Martin Baturina.

Cesc Fabregas's side turned the game around to 2-1 thanks to Assane Diao's goal, which came from a rebound inside Genoa's penalty box in the 30th minute.

As the first half drew to a close, Como extended their lead to 3-1 after Yan Couto's cross was converted into a goal by Nico Paz.

Entering the second half, Como again put pressure on Genoa's defense and had a chance through Paz's shot which still hit the home team's goal.

Assane Diao managed to score the second goal in this match after his shot broke through Genoa's goal in the 79th minute and made the score change to 4-1.

In the remaining time, Como continued to show their dominance, while Genoa tried to reduce the deficit, but until the match ended, the score remained 4-1 for the visiting team's victory.
