Meta has launched a new paid subscription service called Meta One, which offers additional AI-powered features on Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
Unlike previous subscriptions that targeted only influencers and celebrities, Meta hopes this time that ordinary users will pay a monthly fee to get an AI-rich experience.
Meta One will be based on the individual subscription plans the company launched last June. The Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus, and WhatsApp Plus plans offer additional features, including notifications when someone views your Instagram story and the ability to keep a story published for 48 hours instead of 24.
By subscribing to Meta One, you will get all the features of "Plus" in addition to expanded use of artificial intelligence, such as creating and editing photos and generating videos using Muse templates, and more.
Meta One Core: Priced at $7.99 per month, it is the basic plan that gives you all the features of individual "Plus" subscriptions, plus expanded use of artificial intelligence.
Instagram Plus: $3.99 per month, can be subscribed to separately, and includes features such as knowing who viewed your story and keeping stories for 48 hours.
Meta One Premium: For $19.99 per month, it offers higher AI usage limits.
For content creators and companies,
Essential: $14.99 per month, includes a verification badge and access to a Meta business agent, a chatbot that deals with customers.
Advanced: $49.99 per month, adds story scheduling and higher usage limits.
Expert: $149 per month, and provides greater capabilities for the trading agent.
Max: $499 per month, intended for large teams running large-scale operations.
These plans come as Meta faces financial pressure due to its massive spending on artificial intelligence, with its cash flow declining by approximately $8 billion while its competitors make significant progress in the field. The company's Metaverse unit has also lost more than $80 billion over the past six years. Meta is now trying to find new revenue streams to justify its substantial investments in AI.
