Paris Saint-Germain generated revenues exceeding 400 million euros from the departure of its players during the summer transfer window of 2026, the highest figure of its kind in the club's history, while retaining the core of the team.
Paris Saint-Germain stated in an official statement on Friday that the club succeeded in achieving these revenues from the departure of six players, none of whom started in the last two Champions League finals, allowing the club to collect huge financial returns without giving up any of its key players.
The club said: "Bradley Barcola topped the list of Paris Saint-Germain sales this summer after moving to Liverpool for €145 million, three years after joining the French team for €45 million. Portuguese Gonzalo Ramos also left for AC Milan for €75 million plus €15 million in potential bonuses, after Paris Saint-Germain had signed him in 2023 for €65 million plus bonuses."
He added: “Ibrahim Mbaye, a graduate of the Paris Saint-Germain academy, moved to Aston Villa for 60 million euros, while Randall Kolo Moaney left for Juventus for 50 million euros after the French club earned additional revenues of 14 million euros from his loan fees to Tottenham and Juventus.”
He explained: “The list of departures also included South Korean Lee Kang-in, who moved to Atletico Madrid for 40 million euros after joining Paris Saint-Germain for 22 million euros in 2023, as well as Noah Camara, a graduate of the club’s academy, who moved to Lyon for 4.1 million euros.”
He continued: "The total original contract cost with the players who left this summer was just under 210 million euros, while the club's figures indicate capital gains approaching 200 million euros in a few years. Paris Saint-Germain's tally in the summer of 2026 is an extension of the increase in its revenues from player transfers during recent seasons."
The Parisian club explained in its statement: "Paris Saint-Germain ranks third in Europe in total revenue from player departures during the last five summer transfer windows, with a total of 788.55 million euros, behind Chelsea of England, which achieved 1.15 billion euros, and Manchester City of England, which collected 845 million euros."
He added: "Despite generating more than 400 million euros from player departures this summer, Paris Saint-Germain has retained all the key players from the Champions League final this year, indicating the club's attempt to combine maintaining technical stability with generating significant revenue in the transfer market."
