These seven cities have been announced for T20 World Cup 2022, will be final in MCG


ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley said, "We look forward to the return of ICC events in Australia and are delighted to announce the seven host cities for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022.

Australia Cricket Board (CA) has officially announced that the T20 World Cup 2022 will be played in seven different cities of Australia. Sri Lanka and West Indies will have to play qualifiers for the team to make it to the Super 12. Let us tell you that this World Cup was to be held in the year 2020 but due to Kovid it was postponed for two years. Now this tournament will be played from October 16 to November 13 in the next year i.e. 2022.

A total of 45 matches will be played for which the cities of Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney have been selected. The final match will be played day-night at Melbourne Cricket Ground. Australia and New Zealand have qualified for the Super 12 stage of next year's event, as both these teams have played the final match of the 2021 World Cup this time. The next six highest ranked teams in the world – England, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Afghanistan and Bangladesh – also made it to the second round of the 2022 tournament with ease.
