These deaths were caused by the shortage of drugs and medical equipment, according to the president of the organization, Adriano Manuel, dismissed for having given the alert.

Sudan: one person killed during a demonstration

In Sudan, a protester was killed during a rally against the military coup. The 23-year-old victim died in the capital, after being "shot in the chest by the coup forces" , Sudan's Central Medical Committee said.

The Sudanese economy has been struggling ever since. A few days ago, UN Special Representative Volker Perthes warned that the country was heading for "economic and security collapse" if the transition was not returned to civilians.
